Happy New Year and thank you for supporting Minwaashin Lodge and the Annual Windflower Holiday Book Sale.  More sales from the last week bring our totals up to 84 books!!! That is amazing. But we are still aiming for 100 and are waiting for one more report that we hope will put us over the top.

Why we ‘re doing this is more important than ever. We are donating $5.00 from the sale of every Windflower book in November and December to Minwaashin Lodge . Here’s what they do:

Minwaashin Lodge is a healing centre in Ottawa that provides a range of programs and services to First Nations, Inuit and Metis women and children who are survivors of domestic and other forms of violence, and who may also be suffering the effects of the residential school system.

The mission of Minwaashin Lodge is to provide wholistic programs and services for grandmothers, women, children and youth impacted by family violence and residential schooling. All programs and services are provided in the context of cultural beliefs and values as part of the healing journey.

All money donated will go to support First Nations, Inuit and Metis women and children to have a safe and warm place to stay throughout the cold winter still ahead.
